Game 7 v Cardinal O'Hara HS

Freshman loss 43 to 38
Match report by Patrick Di Giannantonio

Today's game against Cardinal O'Hara HS went down to the wire. A good overall performance from the team who hustled and played hard the whole game. An outstanding performance from Ollie Davis who made 3 three pointers and dominated on the offensive end. Also to the big men, Ben LoRusso, Andrew Jamieson-Grigg and Tom Mackenzie who grabbed rebounds and played hard all game. Harry Dunn, Ryan Maranik and Sebastian Diaz also played strong starting fast breaks that led to easy points. Edison Chan helped on the defensive end playing much needed consistent good defense. Even though we lost we all played hard and we have taken the positives and also the negatives out of this "down to the wire" game. Overall a good performance from all and we are all looking to bounce back and beat our next opponent.

JV Loss 53 to 28 by Alex Andretta
The game was an intense challenge against Cardinal O'Hara HS in which we had faced today. Though it was another loss for trinity's junior varsity team, signs of massive improvement was shown by all the boys. At the start of the game Mr Treloar's defensive setup held very well for most of the game. In offence, All the way until the end of second quarter, trinity boys dominated by  penetrating the opposition in  the middle. Strong performances were shown by Julius Truong and James Spanos by dominating not only the defensive but also the attacking. Another outstanding performance was shown by Tom Dickinson. Majority of our defensive and offensive rebounds helped really pace the game. Although it was a loss we have all learnt from our mistakes and are looking forward to adjusting our mistakes for next game.

Varsity loss 63 to 58 by James Finney

After arriving at Cardinal O'Hara, it became apparent that the game would be a challenge due to the height and size of the other players. However, I don't think the varsity team could have risen to the challenge in a better manner. The team was ready to play from the first whistle and showcased some intense Trinity defense throughout the entire game. Going into the second half we were 7 points down after Cardinal hit a couple of tough threes over us. We pulled it back to four points going into the last quarter, then closed the gap to two points. However, due to the lack of shot clock the opposition brought the game to a halt with 4 minutes and a half minutes left. This stopped our scoring streak and forced us to foul, putting Cardinal on the line. To single out an individual wouldn't do the game or our team justice as it was truly a team effort. Although the score line wasn't in our favor, this has been our strongest performance on the tour so far.
